Cosy retreat
Lovely place to relax and unwind. We know the area very well, loved the location and were perfectly cosy even during the storm and howling gales. The local pub surprised with their lovely food. Thank you for a lovely week.

Great central location
Sue really made my wife and I feel welcome and great welcome pack provided in the cottage. The enclosed garden was ideal for our dogs . Although this was a one bed property the bedroom and bathroom where good sizes with a powerful shower. Good central location for exploring both north and south coasts

Lovely cosy cottage, clean and well presented, better than the photos show it to be.
We found the property to be larger and newer than we had expected from the photos. It was really comfortable, there is a spacious bedroom with plenty of drawers, carpeted sitting room area with an effective fire when needed. Well equipped kitchen and welcoming owners who did not intrude on our stay. The village is quiet and the cottage quite a way down a track so it is a peaceful place to stay yet 10 minutes from Helston so easy access to lots of other gorgeous places. We had a great week.

It was good location, quiet and peaceful.
Property is with private closed garden good for our dog, it is in good location all beaches is short drive max 30 min, also supermarket is only 15 min drive, if you looking for peace and quiet it's definitely worth it.

Beautiful, peaceful place with lovely owners.
This is a gorgeous little cottage in a quiet little village, deep in the Cornish countryside. It has everything you need including a well equipped kitchen, living space and a nice sized bathroom. The surrounding area is idyllic with typical Cornish roads smothered with good old fashioned wild flowers. The owners are lovely people, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. There were milk and teabags for our arrival and fresh eggs from their own chickens. It served well as a base point for exploring Cornwall, nothing is too far away to visit. At one point our car broke down and we found ourselves stranded there until the next day when a replacement car was delivered. The owner offered to drive us into nearby Helston to get food. This lady is a star! I would recommend this place to anyone in need of peace and quiet. We had a great time.

Lovely little place
We had a lovely time here and Sue was really friendly and helpful. It's a perfect base for exploring the area and having a lovely pub in walking distance is also a bonus! Thanks so much for having us!

Excellent Stay
We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was comfortable and had everything we could need. Loved the location, being away from hustle and bustle and yet so close to towns and the coast. Sue made us feel very welcome and would have been available if there had been any issues, which there wasn't. Would definitely consider staying there again if visiting that area.

Perfect cottage for two
Well equipped comfortable cottage, our hosts were welcoming, providing us with milk in the fridge and cornish biscuits and some lovely tasting free range eggs,.however we were left alone to enjoy our stay.The cottage was very central with lots to visit both in the country, and coast, and our little dog enjoyed it all. We would certainly recommend, and look forward to coming again.

Schöner Aufenthalt, waren zufrieden!
Das Feriendomizil ist sehr schön ud mit allem ausgestattet, was einen angenehmen Aufenthalt möglich macht. Sue war sehr freundlich und hatte ein umfangreiches "welcome-Paket" bereit gestellt. Die ruhige Lage trägt sehr zur Erholung bei und durch die Nähe zur Lizard-Peninsula und zu schönen Stränden, Gärten und interessanten Orten wird die Erkundung Cornwalls erleichtert. Zu empfehlen ist das fußläufig zu erreichende "Star Inn" und etwas weiter weg das "New Inn". Beide mit guter Küche, moderaten Preisen und echter cornisher Atmosphäre. Insgesamt alles sehr schön und empfehlenswert.

Comfortable, quiet, well equipped, well placed for tourist attractions
Cosy cottage, well equipped for our needs in a quiet location yet not too far away from the main attractions of Cornwall. Sue and Andy made us feel very welcome indeed, we hope to return in the near future.

A very enjoyable week

Very comfy home in central Conwall, ideal for travelling around Cornwall
We had an easy booking with plenty of help and ideas for days out even before we arrived. We was greeted by some lovely flowers and goodies. And had a warm welcome from Sue herself. After that we was given our space to enjoy the comfy, spacious cottage and to come and go as we wished. A small problem arose and was quickly dealt with. We loved feeding the chickens and having some outdoor space to be able to use as to chill out after our daily touring. There's plenty of storage spaces and we was provided with everything we needed home from home. Including a washing machine and microwave. The bath was deep and was a real treat to lay out in to relax and unwind. We will book to come back again as we felt so at home, plus it really is ideally situated to go off in all directions to explore towns and villages in Cornwall. We could only get a 4 night stay away this time but woukd definately stay longer next time and explore further. It's so wonderful to come home to a "home" and not a hotel room where you can't really relax in. Thankyou for everything Sue and Andy. I can't praise you enough, And wished we was able to stay for longer But we will see you again as soon as possible. Thankyou

It almost felt like home!
We had a great time in the cottage. Everything was as the descrition said, the place was very clean and also provided a lot of privacy. We travelled there as a couple in our early 30s, but the place is perfect for anybody who is ok with one bedroom upstairs and a living room/open kitchen downstairs. Sue and her family were very welcoming and provided us with all the information (and a great Cornish pasty) we needed to get set up for our stay. We would recommend the place to our friends/relatives any time. Helston is quite near (including a Tesco superstore) and the village is located perfectly for day trips to all the sites you want to visit in Cornwall. All in all we can say that we were quite sad when we had to leave but are happy to come back one day!

A little Cornish gem....
My Wife, myself and our 3 year old boy recently stayed at this wonderful cosy little cottage and had a fantastic time. we were greeted by some beautiful flowers for my wife's birthday as well as a little welcome pack to help us settle in. A fantastic out of the way, quiet location, ideal for exploring Cornwall. The owners were really charming and very helpful, nothing seemed too much trouble. We ate several times in the local pub, The Star Inn, food was really good and again very hospitable people running the place, very child friendly too!, i would absolutely have no problems recommending anyone spending time at Little Halwin, it is perfect for young families (childrens books games and some toys available in the cottage), couples and even single people wanting to get away from it all. we are hoping to go back later this year, we had forgotten just how special Cornwall really is!, see you soon!
